2023 : Training course in Toulouse, March.

SIROCCO organized from 20th to 23rd march 2023 a regional training on "modelling in coastal oceanography" has hosted at Laboratoire d'Études en Géophysique et Océanographie Spatiales (LEGOS) in Toulouse and the Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées (France).
This training has been focusing on some of the latest SIROCCO development :
  • POCVIP, a visualization tool of model outputs and meshgrid generation,
  • the new SYMPHONIE version (initiation, sediment modelling with MUSTANG, Lagrangian transport),
  • the modelling of estuaries,

These training days were also an opportunity to invite outside specialists such as Héloïse Michaud (SHOM), who gave a presentation and training session on the wave model WW3, and Solène Le Gac (Ifremer), who presented the latest developments in the MUSTANG sediment model.

Daily, more than a dozen people attended the various workshops over the 4 days.
